I haven't been on a Carbon, but I have the white Chord, my first e-bike ever, and I love it 😃

R
R.P.
Water bottle cage and display issues

Love my new carbon 1s, but there are a couple of things to be aware of. The water bottle cage is useless if the included triangular frame pack is also on the bike as intended. There isn’t enough room to put in a water bottle or remove it. Fairly easy fix by just moving the pack forward as far as it will go, but then the rear strap can only be also wrapped around the top bar. Seems to work, but less than ideal. See pics. Please consider a different configuration for the pack (like mounting forward with a longer strap to go around the front down tube rather than the rear) or some other combination. Also, the instruction manual shows multiple function displays available for the main top LED display. However, I can’t figure out how to access or use any of them. Some functions are available on the app, but still don’t actually show on the bike. Couldn’t find anything on line and did not get a reply from support when I asked about it. Overall minor issues, and still love the bike overall. It rides like a standard bike, and can provide a good workout even with e-assistance, you’re just going faster than normal. I bought a pair of dual sided pedals to use, with SPD clips on one side and standard surface on the other so I can use a pair of mountain bike shoes (that I can also walk in) but still be clipped in for riding, but others can also ride without cleats. I’m so used to using clip-ins that I kept lifting my feet off the pedals without them. Gear shifting is smooth, and having fewer gears is not really an issue given the option of the e-assistance, although where I live now is all flat, so no experience with significant hills. Medium is great fit for me (5’10”) and set up/assembly was very simple. Haven’t yet gone on a ride more than 20 miles (not great riding situation where I live), but a lot of fun! Also, be aware that although the battery indicated a charge on arrival, it took a few hours to fully charge (which I did before my first ride). May be intuitive, but once the battery is in place on the bike, you must use the key to remove it (makes sense, but took a few minutes to figure that out). As others noted, using the QR code for initial app setup did not work, but the manual option is simple and intuitive. My first e-bike, and I prefer the pedal assist rather than a throttle, but don’t have anything to compare with, either. Once set up, the bike automatically records ride info, but you have to look at the phone app to get that info rather than on the bike display screen. A bit of an annoyance for someone used to looking at my bike computer for real time info, but I also haven’t tried to mount my cell phone in a way I could use it while riding. The electronic bell is nice for bike path riding. Has been a great choice for me!

Carbon 1s is the best choice!

The Carbon 1s is a really good-looking bike. I received several compliments. I chose to have the bike assembled at my neighborhood bike shop. The guys at the shop said it was such an easy bike to put together and they were really impressed with the quality of the bike.

The bike is lightweight, so I'm able to lift it easily onto my Yakima bike rack. I'm 5'8", bought the M, and it's the perfect size for me.

After two months of riding, the bike has greater responsiveness when stopping and making quick turns, and I have had no problems with it. I am liking the bike more and more with each use, and it is a lot of fun.

Great E-bike that has it all!

This bike is very well made, is fun to ride, and is lightweight. It charged up fine, and it was ready to ride in a few hours. There were no issues with the ride. It was exactly what I hoped for.

Thank you, Urtopia!

well worth the price

I did my research before purchasing the bike.
I thought I would just use the bike for fun, but instead, I am using it for my daily commute to work too. I get there faster than by car, and using GPS on the app will show you a safe route to take just for bikes.

The bike is made incredibly well. This thing is solid and so easy to put together.

I particularly picked this bike because it had a backlight and blinkers (which many do not have). It is also lighter.

The battery life has never been a problem, even when riding a lot of hilly terrain. I tend to get 30 to 48 miles per charge.

With gas prices so high, this e-bike not only saves me a fortune in gas but is also fun to ride.
It was well worth the price. Take the leap! Get an e-bike, but buy one from a company you can trust. Their support is great.
