My wife and I each got a Carbon Classic ST and are very impressed. We have two Trek E-Bikes at our Florida home and these are easily a match in the feel of quality.
I ordered a rear rack and created an account to track it. Somehow I was not able to log on for a few days and at first found customer support lacking as calls were not returned.
Then one week after the order, the rack arrived and ((duh) I had ordered the rack for the step over, not the ST. (Didn’t realize they were different.)
I emailed customer service again and finally got a response. From that point onward, I received daily emails keeping me informed. Since I needed the right rack, they sent it to me free of any charge and told me that I needn’t return the other.
My summary: this seems to be a fast-growing company with a great product and possibly, they are a tad overwhelmed at the moment with inquiries.
They surely treated me well and we love the bikes.

What a great little bike. I bought mine to keep on my boat to be used for transportation at marinas and inner cities. I can't say enough good things but it has its limitations. Its perfect when you like 15mph travel with pedal assist. Im city environments you can't really go much faster than that. In pedal assist tour i can get plenty of range, I estimate about 25 miles. With too much throttle it will drop significantly. It rides great. You really can't tell how small it is. It's very light and I can carry it right into my aft cabin boat and drop it right into the basement. It seems very well made.
Here is other side. My home e-bike is way heavier, way faster and has much more range. I wouldn't like this in an suburban environment where I can easily do 28mph plus and take long rides. But for inner cities, small apartments and limited space, this thing is perfect.
I live in a pretty crowded area with lots of traffic lights and stop signs, and this bike works really well for that kind of riding. The step-thru frame makes quick stops less awkward, and the throttle helps when starting again. It feels comfortable and predictable overall.
The range on this thing is honestly impressive. I’ve started taking routes I normally wouldn’t even consider on my old bike because I’m not worried about battery anymore. It feels powerful without being too aggressive, and overall just very capable.
The ride quality surprised me a lot. Even on uneven streets or rougher bike paths, it still feels comfortable and stable. I mainly use it for relaxed weekend rides, and it’s made longer rides feel much less tiring. Definitely more comfort-focused than sporty.
What I appreciate most about this bike is that it doesn’t feel overly complicated. It’s comfortable, easy to ride, and the throttle is useful when I just want to cruise without putting in too much effort. I’ve been using it more often than expected because it feels so straightforward.
I use this together with public transit and it’s honestly made commuting a lot easier. Folding it at the station is quick enough that it doesn’t feel like a hassle. The lower frame also makes the bike feel approachable and easy to handle in crowded areas. It’s become part of my routine really naturally.
I looked at a lot of folding e-bikes before choosing this one, and many of them felt unstable or overly bulky. This one rides much more naturally than I expected. The folding system is straightforward once you’ve done it a few times, and the extra range makes it practical for everyday use too.
I bought this mostly for casual rides around the city and it’s been exactly what I hoped for. The step-thru frame makes everything feel easier, especially when stopping often. I also love how lightweight it feels compared to other e-bikes I tested. It’s comfortable enough that I sometimes ride longer than I originally planned.
I didn’t fully understand why people cared so much about bike weight until I started using this daily. Moving it around, carrying it inside, even just maneuvering in tighter spaces feels easier. The ride itself is smooth and responsive too. It still feels sporty without being uncomfortable.
I use this mostly for getting around town and visiting nearby places, and it’s been really easy to live with. The step-thru design is especially convenient when stopping frequently. I also like how smooth the throttle feels compared to some other bikes I’ve tried.
I mainly wanted something comfortable for longer casual rides, and this has been perfect for that. The riding position feels relaxed and natural, and I don’t feel exhausted afterward. It’s one of those bikes that makes you want to stay out a little longer.
I combine biking with public transit almost every day, and this has honestly made my commute much less stressful. Folding it up at the station is pretty quick once you get used to it. The lower frame also makes it feel more approachable than some other folding bikes I looked at. It’s become something I use almost daily now.
Living in a smaller apartment, I really needed something that wouldn’t take up half the room. This folds down nicely and is light enough that I don’t dread carrying it upstairs. I also like that it still feels stable while riding and not overly compact. Definitely more practical than I expected.
I expected to sacrifice comfort for portability, but honestly this rides much smoother than I thought it would. The step-thru frame makes it easy to hop on and off, especially when I’m stopping a lot in the city. I mainly use it for commuting and short errands, and it’s fit into my routine really naturally. Folding it also became easier after the first few days.
I've only had this for 2 weeks. Bought as my 2nd E-bike as a city commuter, grocery shopping 3-6 mile round trip daily. Took it out this morning for a 12.8 mile Sunday morning ride. The more I ride the Carbon Fold ST the more I love it. It's easy to maneuver in and out of doors, hallways when walking it.
I am a 55yr old, 165lbs I've lost a lb a week for the last 3 weeks, 2 of which was riding the carbon fold st. I do have many previous chronic injuries, and E-bikes have got me exercising and getting outdoors more often. With the lighter weight, this E-bike fits my use better. Using tour mode I'm getting a 30 mile range riding at 14-16 MPH, the eco mode speed is 12-13 mph depending on how hard I'm pedaling(no idea of range using ECO mode yet). I'm usually using the "tour" setting. Top speed for me in boost is 19.3 MPH though 20 is rated max speed. I bought with a throttle as I am usually a little unstable when carrying groceries and starting from a stop. I only use the throttle when first starting out and usually pedal when riding.
Anyways after my 1st Ebike, I had started seeing a lot of the lighter ebikes coming out this last year and really wanted to give this a try. I am very happy with the Carbon Fold ST. My older bike is also a Step through folder, but 40 lbs heavier.
FLAWS: Sorry
1. It lacks suspension, you can feel every bump. Avoid potholes, be wary when crossing railroad tracks. Replace the Velo Plush seat, it's too narrow, any bump transfers directly to my spine, I've multiple back injuries, osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, 2 bulging discs. I replaced with a Rock Bros comfort recovery seat and this has helped alot( there are many similar, better then the Velo Plush more comfortable seats available that have ball cushion springs in the seat rails, and better padding). Only recommendation i can think of to make this a more comfortable ride.
2. Battery does not lock securely to frame. This is a thiefs wet dream. I was already using a U-lock and 2nd cable with 2nd lock when no bike rack was present. But as battery isn't secure only way to lock it is by threading cable through seat rails and then feeding cable through tires then wrap around tree, sign post, telephone post. Not very secure honestly, as seat can be removed with an Allen wrench. Think this is the biggest flaw.
3. No key to start bike. Not quite as detrimental, but also makes this a less secure ebike. Any one can steal it easily, and just ride it away with full access as it doesn't have a key to start it.
4. The recommended rider height is not realistic. Im 5'6" tall with a 32" inseam. Ideal for this Ebike. But if you have a inseam shorter then 29" then you are not going to be able to fit the minimum seat height. Its not your height that matters it's your inseam length of your legs. Just a minor flaw in reported rider assumption.
5. They do offer GPS security thingy ma-jiggy but your paying for it. And as it is a you can add it under your seat to improve safety, anti thief deterent, but again as seat post isn't secure it's really not worth paying for it. Think a better option would of been if GPS location device was built in to controller. Just saying the battery seat post that doesn't securely lock is a very big flaw.
6. Built in rear light, is pretty much useless. If your using a rear cargo/luggage, pannier bag storage unit it will block the light as it sits just above luggage rack. Honestly think the rear rack should of been built in with the same carbon frame material and part of the actual frame. Not a metal add on screw on rack, and then had a built in rear break light/turn light at the back of the luggage rack. I previously used a rechargeable rear light turn light on older ebike and will be doing the same with this.
OK that's it's for complaints, and I am serious when I say, the more i ride the Carbon Fold ST the more i like it. Bought the "Cream" it's more of a off white color with just a hint of cream. As a short distance commuter this is a really nice ride.
Just got it a few weeks ago and it is living up to expectations. Light easy ride and to maneuver. I had another ebike before this that was too heavy and I was afraid that I was going to fall off. This one I take corners with ease
I’ve already taken this on a couple pretty long rides and the range has been excellent. I don’t constantly check the battery like I used to with my old e-bike. It also feels stable on rougher roads and gravel paths. Definitely feels more versatile than a standard city bike.
I originally thought I’d barely use the throttle, but now I use it all the time when starting from lights or crossing intersections. The bike still feels smooth and controlled though, not jerky. It has a relaxed riding style that works well for everyday commuting. Overall it just feels dependable.
Urtopia makes great bikes!! Got me a carbon fold 2 and lovin it. Life changing ebike for city commuters
Behold the regal Fold 1, here now at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Love my Urtopia Fold #rvlife #camping
Not a paid poster, I appreciate the quality of the construction and components, the weight and compact bundle that I can lift in and out of my suv, setup in seconds, and ride trails on my trips. The tires aren't wide or snobby enough for fine sand, but I have taken Urp (my nickname for the nike) to forests, crossed creeks, deserts and rocky trails with remarkable success.
Love mine too! Just got two of the Joys and they are a Joy to ride. Solid well built bike.
It's one of the best rides ever! Wonderful for older folks who might want to feel very safe as you can sit on it and plant both feet on the ground. It's a fabulous ride and so lightweight! I can't say enough about this bike but as I've said before it needs more compatible accessories!
We are 5,500 miles into our Great Loop adventure and have two on our Navigator 4400. Total game changer. I know of three other loopers who saw them and outfitted their boats.
