I wanted an e-bike I could pedal the majority of the time.
The throttle was important to help me traverse the hills.
I was also looking for a bike that wasn’t too heavy to handle. I wanted a step through. I wanted a nice looking bike!
It has a readable computer screen.
The kickstand is easy, even for this slow learner.
My bike has ALL of the above.
Another plus was how quickly they shipped the bikes.
I was having trouble ordering on-line. I was able to reach a person who tried to help me. I successfully ordered on-line. The next day this person texted me to make sure I didn’t have any more issues. I appreciate follow-up. First class service.
The one thing I would want to see improved upon are instructions.
IMPORTANT: Only charge your bike’s battery for one minute the first time!!!!
Learn where the turn on button is; the screen button; the gear buttons for decreasing or increasing speed; the front brake and the back brake. As with a regular bike, the front brake should not be used first if braking. The possibility of flipping your bike forward at higher speeds is greater. Use the back brake first to slow down. When almost completely stopped apply your front brake to make a complete stop.
By hit or miss, I started my first trial run simply pedaling. When I reached the incline, I pushed the throttle button; not hard. After gaining confidence, I sped up keeping it in Eco mode.
If your bike helmet is over 20 years old, time to invest in a new one. (Probably sooner!)
I am thoroughly enjoying this new mode of travel!
My husband and I bought the Fold 1 and it has been a game changer. We live in a condo and space is limited, so the folding design was exactly what we needed. It fits neatly in our hallway closet, and we can easily put it in the trunk of our car for weekend trips. Despite its compact size, the bike feels sturdy and stable on the road. The lightweight frame makes it easy for me to lift, which is important since I’ve struggled with heavier e-bikes in the past. Urtopia made the whole process simple, from ordering to setup.
I switched from a heavy folding e-bike to the Carbon 1 Step-Thru, and the difference is incredible. I’m in my mid-60s, and lifting my old bike into the car was a real struggle. The Carbon is so much lighter, and the step-thru design makes it effortless to get on and off. I’ve already done several weekend rides into the mountains, and it feels like I’ve gotten a piece of my freedom back.
This bike is just so awesome. I do not know where to begin. First of all the looks of it are just so aesthetically pleasing. The light carbon fiber is amazing. The assembly was so easy and I was really dreading it. The disc brakes are incredible and smooth. The gear shifting is so smooth. I love the tires. I love the accessories. I got the front and back racks. And I love the kickstand that is like the one on my scooter. It actually stands the bike up and keeps it there. There’s so much more, but you will not regret buying this bicycle.
I bought the Carbon Pro 1 in early July. It took a couple weeks for it to arrive as I was told it was a pre-order. I'm glad I waited it out as this bike moves! I've ridden it all summer & am very happy with how it responds. It's definitely a head-turner as been asked if it's really an e-bike. My favorite thing about the Carbon Pro 1 is how it's meant to tackle hills. Hills have always been my favorite part of a ride through Seattle & this bike does not disappoint. I also ordered the ARES light at the same time, however, after waiting for 2 months with no update other than "it was a pre-order & it should ship this week" multiple times, I gave up on that.
At first, I wasn’t sure if the Fusion Pro would be powerful enough compared to my old e-bike. But after a few weeks, I can say I’m fully convinced. It handles hills better than expected, the ride feels smooth, and the simplicity of the controls is refreshing. It just works, no apps, no fuss, just ride. That’s exactly what I wanted.
Loving my Carbon 1 Pro. I've had it for almost two years now and it's a fantastic
commuter and all around great putt.
I still use my iPhone with Apple Maps for navigation specifically because of the
bike oriented options like preferring bike paths and avoiding busy roads - that
even Google Maps doesn't have. Also, I don't like having ear buds or headphones
on when I ride....and today I had to take an unfamiliar route. So I hpoked up the
Urtopia's speaker to my phone and had it give me audible navigation prompts. It
was awesome.
Cheers everyone!!
I bought the Joy as a city bike, and it has exceeded my expectations. I use it every day to run errands, groceries, coffee runs, even picking up packages. It’s light enough that I can carry it up my porch stairs, and the frame design makes it easy to hop on and off. I used to drive for short trips, but now I ride the Joy instead, and honestly, it’s faster and more fun.
I’ve been dealing with e-bike companies quite a while and Annie at Urtopia exemplifies what customer service should be! I have never had the same person to talk with - which is such a gift. It prevents retelling the story to every new person. And it is clear to me that Urtopia’s leadership places a high regard for excellence in customer service. Kudos to them and to you Annie! It is a pleasure working with you and I can’t wait to get my new Carbon 1 ST ebike!
I purchased the Carbon 1 Step Thru E-bike during Urtopia’s Labor Day sale. At the time I purchased it they were offering free fenders and kick stand. A few days later that were also offering a free rear rack and mini pump. I contacted them and they agreed to provide me with these additional items. I very much appreciate their care for me as a new, now loyal, customer. The bike’s great, too!
I absolutely love my Joy! I finally have the perfect bike for me. I’m 70 and feel very comfortable on it. It arrived quickly, and customer service has been great.
I bought the Joy as a retirement gift to myself, and I couldn’t have chosen better. Every morning I take it to the local farmer’s market, and it’s perfect for weaving through town and carrying my small shopping bags. The light frame makes it easy to park and maneuver, and it doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. What surprised me most is how stable it feels, even with a little cargo. I’ve had so many neighbors ask about it, and I always tell them it’s the perfect companion for someone who wants practicality with a touch of fun.
I honestly thought my biking days were over. After a shoulder surgery and years of not riding, I was hesitant to even try an e-bike. But the Joy changed that for me. It’s light enough that I don’t feel intimidated getting it out of the garage, and once I’m on it, the ride feels smooth and balanced. I don’t need to lean forward, and I can take it slow on quiet neighborhood streets without any discomfort. For me, this bike has been more than just transportation—it’s given me back a hobby I thought I had lost.
The Fusion Pro is pure fun. I don’t use it just for commuting but also for weekend rides with friends. The acceleration feels smooth, and people always ask about the sleek frame design.
I’m 72 years old and thought I was done with biking because of the weight of my old e-bike. The Urtopia Carbon 1 Step Thru gave me my freedom back. It’s light, easy to get on, and I actually look forward to riding again.
Amazing customer service on the order side of things. I split my purchase up into two different orders, but that made it so the second order didn't receive the discount. A quick email to their support team fixed it up. Also, I missed an opportunity to get a few extra accessories in a sale by a few days, but they graciously sent those items to me.
But even more importantly, my family loves their new bikes. We've been riding almost every day now!
I absolutely love my Urtopia Fold 1, it’s everything I was looking for in an e-bike. My Urtopia experience has been excellent. The order process with seamless, the delivery was fast. Their customer service is excellent, best experience I’ve ever had with customer service anywhere. I had questions about my new bike and customer service was quick to respond, to resolve and they followed up to ensure I was happy. I would definitely strongly recommend Urtopia, for their superb product and responsive customer service.
I absolutely love my Urtopia Joy. I’m 5’3” and the frame of this bike fits me perfectly. You can certainly adjust it for a taller person but I found it difficult to find a bike to adjust to a smaller person. It’s so much lighter than other bikes I’ve had. It has plenty of power. I tow my grandson behind me as well as use it for grocery shopping.
What great customer service. I love the Carbon 1 Step Through and each time I email support I get a helpful reply within a few hours. It makes me realize I not only got a great bike but also a good company.
So far so good!
I bought the folding bike and decided to return it for the Fusion Pro simply because my commute to work is too far and I wanted to fill more comfortable with a cruiser frame!!
I loved the folding bike and Ding from Urtopia has been nothing but amazing with helping me through the return and the new bike purchase. We got on a couple Zoom calls and he took the time to guide me all along!
I truly ppreciated that! So yes, so far great customer service!!
As soon as I get the new Fusion Pro I will get back with a full review on the product and my experience.
Thank you Ding for al your precious help!
I have been so impressed with everything from the design, packaging, ease of assembly and especially the use of the bike. Wow - what an awesome product. I did have a couple of questions which were answered quickly and completely. This is a GREAT product and a pleasure to ride. Thank you.
Amazing bike, even better service! We had an issue come up, and the Urtopia team stepped in right away with clear, kind, and efficient support. They made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The bike itself is beautifully made, rides like a dream, and has exceeded our expectations. Super impressed with both the product and the people behind it — couldn’t be happier! Thank you!!
I’ve ridden my Urtopia Carbon 1 Pro and Carbon 1S over 4,000 miles on long-distance trails across multiple states – and I can confidently say it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned. Lightweight, stylish, intelligent, and incredibly fun to ride, this e-bike truly delivers on performance and design.
From city streets to countryside highways, it’s been my daily companion, and I couldn’t be happier with the battery efficiency, GPS features, and handling. I get stopped often by curious onlookers, and I always recommend it without hesitation.
But what impressed me most recently was Urtopia’s customer service. After a minor issue caused by train travel, their team was quick to respond and supportive in helping me resolve the problem. This level of care makes a huge difference and shows they stand behind their product.
Highly recommended for serious riders and commuters alike. Thank you, Urtopia, for revolutionizing my cycling experience!
I purchased my Urtopia Carbon 1 Pro e-bike new from a local bicycle shop. Although very pleased with the e-bike itself, the shop failed to provide me with the battery keys, and the “smart bar” app was about to expire (new Urtopia bikes get the app subscription included for free for 1 year). Unfortunately, the bike shop failed to promptly address these 2 items, prompting my email request for support to Urtopia (the manufacturer). I am very pleased to report that Urtopia support, specifically Mr. Grüßen, promptly responded to my concerns, and, as promised, got my subscription corrected (extended for the correct 1 year) and mailed me the correct key via Fed Ex. Thank you, Mr. Grüßen / Urtopia support for your excellent and prompt support!
A great bike: lightweight, nimble, and enough power to handle most hills near me. I'm in my 60s and wanted a bike flexible enough so I could get plenty of exercise but still have enough power available to assist when needed. For me, the Carbon 1 Pro was the right blend of power and weight. It's 25 pounds lighter than my previous bike, so storing it and putting it on my rack is thankfully much easier.
Caveats: 1. The control unit is poorly designed. The laughable black and white "dot" display severely needs updating (I'd pay extra for an update). As for the speakers, no one needs to hear your Yacht Rock turned up loud, so please use EarPods. 2. Needs a better battery. The claims of 80 miles on a charge seem exaggerated. I would guess more like 50-ish; less for mountain roads. I mostly use power setting #1 and #2, and have never used #4. 3. While the website specs called for me to order a Medium, I found it was too small and had to reorder a Large. Thankfully, they took back the bike and paid for the return, but customer assistance was hit and miss, and getting credit took six weeks. 3. The seat height is severely limited by the seat post design. You really need to know your body dimensions to order properly. Best to order from a dealer to avoid sizing issues. 4. They claim it can produce 750w, but it's not the same thing as a 750w Class 3 ebike—it's more like 350w (granted, it felt more powerful than other 350w ebikes I've tried).
Still, I do love the bike for its responsiveness, ease of shifting, looks, and weight. I'm having a blast with it, and haven't ridden this much in 15 years!
